Tom Collins

As a Jersey Shore local with a lifestyle enriched in coastal design inspiration, Tom Collins acts as both an experienced designer and the owner of Colmar Kitchen Studio. Tom was born and raised in Margate, NJ and began working for the family business as early as eight years old. He decided to study at Villanova University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 2001. After school, Tom spent time living and working in New York City, but ultimately returned home to the family business. He has continued Colmar's success as the shore's resource for premier kitchen and bath design. Tom's design influence is built on clean, simple and serene interiors that accomplish a spacious, simple feel while never losing purpose. He believes that "form doesn't have to follow function; that there can be a marriage of the two principles, each with equal importance." Tom also knows that the process of a kitchen or bath remodel can be intimidating, but that taking the time to listen and learn about the client's daily life truly helps to create an ideal, operative space. "Our role as kitchen designers is to be the calm influence that helps our customers navigate through the process, helping them create a space that brings them joy every day."

Danielle McDonald

After many years of vacationing at the Jersey Shore, Danielle decided to settle here permanently to raise her children. She has been largely influenced from years spent living in different regions across the country, giving her a keener sense on the individual needs of each client, as no two homes are ever the same. Danielle earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Drexel University and has applied that knowledge actively in the field for 25 years. With a minor in Art History, Danielle has always had a passion for classic design and architecture, which continues to influence her work today. She enjoys mixing her classically inspired designs with a pop of modern, trending elements to create a more eclectic look. Above all else, her designs are formed around listening to her clients' needs, as they are the ones who give her true inspiration! In all of her works, she ensures that the client's lifestyle is reflected in the end result.

Tim Kriebel

Tim promises that every project he creates will incorporate the tried and true best principles of design. After earning a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Design from the University of the Arts, Tim applied his teachings to construction and the kitchen industry. He prides his balance between the art and science on his kitchen designs, harmonizing function and beauty to create an improved space in every way possible. "I believe we should allow time for exploration and problem solving as well as inspiration and attending to improvements on key storage areas." Tim knows that this process keeps projects moving forward at a timely manner, while meeting clear and concise goals.

Ultimately, Tim sees listening as a designer's most powerful tool for success. Transparency and an open dialog is crucial to a project being completed properly. As trends come and go, Tim holds steadfast to the ideal of listening. "Actively listening to how you, as my clients wants to live, is something that never goes out of style."

Rachel Hale

This Cape May County local grew up with a passion for the arts and design. She explored her interest and broadened her creativity by attending the Southern New Jersey Academy for Performing Arts where she studied dance. In addition to the innovative design work she does for Colmar, Rachel teaches at Ocean City's "The Dance Place". With 10 years of experience and a lifetime of personal design interest, Rachel has both the passion and skill found in a trusted designer. Rachel's personal style balances acquired antiques with industrial design. Her favorite element in her own home are the silvered mirrored sconces with hanging crystals that originally belonged to her grandmother. No matter your personal taste, Rachel will find a way to achieve harmony in her designs, combining beauty and practicality.

James P. Logue

After graduating from Rutgers University New Brunswick, NJ with a B.A. in Art History and a B.A. in French in Literature, James went on to work in fashion management directly out of school which took him across the country from Atlanta to Phoenix to Bal Harbour. James returned to Margate 15 years ago where he has since applied his background and keen sense of style towards his passion for interior design. James' aesthetic influence derives from his admiration of Frank Lloyd Wright's organic designs. James believes that each project must be designed uniquely with the client's wants and needs at the forefront. He is always seeking the perfect solution to each specific project, with the mindset that there's always more than one approach.
