Transitional Kitchen Design
New York Avenue, Absecon NJ
This home, full of life, needed to accommodate a young married couple with three lively children. When the family decided to renovate their entire home, Colmar Kitchen Studio was asked to join the project to help renovate the kitchen which is on an open floorplan, attached to the dining room and vaulted ceiling living room. All design choices were made to endure the wear and tear of three young children. This kitchen has been equipped with dual islands, one for function and one focused on entertainment. The stainless-steel appliances give a sleek look but allow easy cleanup for the busy family. Rippled glass was chosen for the overhead cabinetry for its durability and ability to hide any clutter. The color scheme is a mixture of deep browns, rich blues, white to keep the large space decluttered, and a touch of black to blend into the great room. The space, being as large as it is, was also given a clean backsplash to not overwhelm the area. Colmar was able to provide the cabinetry for the wet bar in the dining room and the book shelves that acted as a transition into the living room from the dining room.
